Harry Potter’s birthday was Sunday and I celebrated the best way I could by watching a marathon of the Harry Potter movies on TV while editing my vlog of going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood.
I fell in love with the world of Harry Potter in middle school after a class trip that involved going to the movie theather to watch the first Harry Potter movie. I hadn’t read any of the published books at this point in time, but was excited to see the movie to understand everyone’s interest. Well the movie certainly piqued my interest because I became hooked by the magic and whimsicalness of Harry Potter. From then on, I read all the books, watched all the movies and became sad when it all came to an end.
My excitement arose again when the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened in Universal Studios Orlando. I knew I had go there some day to experience the world I’d seen on the movie screen, but I just didn’t know when. Then eventually the news of the Wizarding World opening in Hollywood came out and I got super excited again because for some reason California is more reasonable to travel to then Florida for this east coast native.
Thankfully the Hollywood one opened two months prior to me heading back to southern California for VIDCON 2016. I was full of joy and extreme happiness when I was there. I drank butterbeer and find the frozen kind to be my favorite. I stared at all the sweets and wished I took a chocolate frog home, but it was way too hot that day. I got a wand because to me I couldn’t leave there without one. I went to Hogwarts and explored the castle. I ate at the Three Broomsticks and had a great meal. To see more of my adventure, check out my vlog below as well as more of the photos I took while there.
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
