New Year’s Day

Last year it was a little white dress, this year it ended up being a denim shirt dress for the first day of the new year.

A new year always brings thoughts on how you can make the previous one better. I wrote of my plans for the new year in my last post, but I thought what are my feelings toward style this year.

I’ve gotten to the point where I’m realizing my style aesthetic. I guess it comes with getting older. When I began this blog 7 years ago, I had no idea what my personal style was. That’s why I chose to document my outfits and hopefully figure it out along the way. Typically my look was whatever fit my mood. I still follow my mood sometimes, but it’s much clearer. I like minimal, neutral, simple things that transition easily. Also white things, but mostly for home decor right now. So here I was on January 1st working on that minimal aesthetic in an effortless chambray shirt dress.

Have a great Friday!
xoxo
