Vive La France

Though I’m not of French descent, I felt it was right to honor the country’s independence yesterday on Bastille Day because I may (or may not… okay seriously why not) secretly want to be French. I chose to forgo stripes, the most obvious option, when trying to infuse some French vibes into my look by going with a straw boater hat and a tank reminiscent of France’s colors. I had initially intended to go for a dressed up classy feel, but Sunday ended up being a hot summer day so comfort and functionality won. Now if only I had some buttery croissants and colorful macarons on hand.
