Halloween After The Storm

(H&M trench coat, skull blouse with brand unknown bought via Love Melrose, thrifted dress worn as skirt, Target tights, Dolce Vita for Target boots, Deena & Ozzy tote, Target knuckle ring, misc rings from Mom)

Happy Halloween! I survived Hurricane Sandy and thankfully there was no damage here at my parents’ house. We did lose power Monday night, but did get it back late last night. My heart does go out to those going through lost and/or are still without power due to the storm.

My sister and I ventured out to escape from yesterday’s cabin fever and were in shock to see how many fallen trees and branches and down traffic lights were in our city. Makeshift four way stops were made, but most drivers ignored it causing chaos and traffic. It was pretty insane.

Well I was in the mood to be festive for Halloween though I decided not dress up this year. I was Wednesday Addams last year FYI. I couldn’t help but finally wear this skull blouse that’s been hanging in my closet for months. Quite fitting for the holiday, right? I layered it over a black mini dress and also kept the rest of the outfit palette black. I may have appeared a little overdressed for grocery shopping and stops at the drugstores especially after the storm, but I was in the mood to live a little.

Hope you’re having a great week! Stay safe!

xoxo
