Story of a Bag and a Pair of Shoes

It’s said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I guess in my case, I’ve got the best of two worlds in form of a bag and a pair of shoes. Besides being new accessories to my ever growing wardrobe, the bag and shoes are very similar to products made by some big name labels.

Target Satchel a.k.a Proenza Schouler PS1

I saw this satchel last month when I was on vacation in Los Angeles. I had stopped by Target to check out the GO International re-releases and came upon the bag while browsing the accessories section. Being the purse junkie that I am, my eyes and self were pretty excited to see that Target was selling a satchel since I can neither afford the Proenza Schouler PS1 or Mulberry Alexa any time soon. I didn’t think much that the satchel reminded me of the PS1 until two weeks ago when the knockoff pandemonium hit many fashion websites (also the day my bag arrived after ordering it online). It just happened that way, I swear! When I can afford a PS1, I will definitely buy one!

Crown Vintage shoes a.k.a. Jeffrey Campbell Copen

So I’ve only been going to DSW for a few months now, but the experience I’ve had with it has been amazing! The store has seriously increased my interest in shoes, which there had been lack of. When I was there last week I saw these shoes and wasn’t sure how I felt about them. They were definitely out of my comfort zone with the high high heel/platform, but secretly I really wanted them. I hesitated at first, but went back for them after thinking of them constantly. Besides loving the studs, I saw the beauty in the construction of the shoe and that’s what hooked me in. Plus they made me think of Jeffrey Campbell Litas. Interesting enough, these Crown Vintage shoes look exactly like a style from Jeffrey Campbell called Copen. The similarities are eerie and I didn’t know about it until I did some research. However I do enjoy a bargain even it is a knockoff of a real thing.

Have a great week lovelies! xoxo
