I am in serious need of catching up on my fashion magazines. My pile is growing and being left unread at the moment, but often I do just check out the fashion editorials to see what’s the focus and latest ideas. I reached for the Amanda Seyfried ELLE US issue I had received recently, flipped to the editorials and became enamored with the black and white photography featuring the doe-eyed actress.
Amanda Seyfried’s latest film is a much darker version of the fairy tale, Red Riding Hood, so it’s only necessary that ELLE to take on the term fairy tale and use that to their advantage especially with Seyfriend’s stunning features. The editorial styled by ELLE’s Creative Director Joe Zee, displays strong romantic looks with smokey eyes and the actress’s hair pulled away from her face. A full array of animals also guest star in the editorial with Seyfried, which I think also brings together the fairy tale-like aspect ELLE is trying to address here. Nothing says fairy tale or Disney better than a princess and her animal friends.
