I’m slowly working my way through catching up on NYFW so I thought that since I’m actually looking up the shows that I’d display some of the runway looks here, starting with the glorious work of Marc Jacobs.
I caught this show through the live stream on the Marc Jacobs website on Valentine’s Day (night). Besides the amazing set design of vinyl padded walls/columns and a mirrored runway, the soundtrack featured only of Marilyn Manson’s “The Beautiful People” which I felt fit the looks coming down the runway. The one thing that struck me was the infinite display of polka dots! Polka dots strewn everywhere in different displays that were rather fun and not sickening to the eye. The silhouette was sleek and body con. The looks were glamourous and edgy. The lace dresses were to die for. Basically, Marc Jacobs left me wanting more and even more!
Marc by Marc Jacobs was all about the 70s vibe in preppy chic. There were wide leg trousers, floppy hats and fun graphic prints. It was a very mature collection that did not disappoint.
Love it! Love its 70s trend!

yes right:) though, I think the proenza schouler bags, like a lot of things are too overpriced. I might want to look for a more cheaper version:)
marc by marc jacobs always appeals to me more for some reason

Love both MJ collections, but esp. the Marc by MJ line. The styling was on point and I loved the polka dots and fun prints (elephants!) as well!
