The weather was beautiful and warm today, about 60 degrees, such a good time to continue pulling skirts out of my closet to wear in the nice weather that is finally starting to stick around.
I decided to center my outfit around color blocking. I love color blocking…it adds interest because of the use of multiple colors in an article of clothing. The most common use of color blocking that I’ve seen appears in dresses so here is my faux color block dress. What I’ve done here is take this blue Forever 21 dress/tunic and pair it with a black high-waisted skirt from Old Navy. I pulled the skirt high enough to cover the empire waist that the dress/tunic features. So in the end I’ve got an outfit that appears to be a color block dress, but is really a combination of a top and bottom. =D
Forever 21 tunic/dress, Old Navy skirt, Target tights, H&M peep toe flats.
I love the high waist skirt and love this color of blue!and smart smart, I love it when you make an own “item” out of clothing 🙂 xoxo

Hey hun!
What I really really enjoy from your blog (besides your awesome outfits of course) is the commentary alongside each piece! People often fail to realise that much thought can be placed each piece but you sortof highlight by mentioning why AAAAAAAAND, it gives me a nosey and inspires me to think more carefully about each piece.
GAH! Aint this the boring comment lol!
